What is FMIG?

The Mission of FMIG is to increase awareness of and stimulate interest in family practice. We accomplish this mission by providing service to our students, our school, our community and Mid-Missouri. The Purpose of FMIG shall be to promote the profession of Family Practice by:

Get Involved!

Become a student member of the AAFP!
With a student AAFP membership you get a subscription to the American Family Physician, Local Suport, opportunities to attend the National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students, member disconuts, access to the Virtual FMIG website, advice on the match, AAFP's Debt Management Guide, access to the AAFP Student Membership Coordinator, and access to New Student Member Resources! All members of the Missouri Academy of Family Physicians are members of the American Academy of Family Physicians. There is a ONE TIME student membership fee of $15 for the AAFP. There is no student membership fee for the MAFP. Pick up an application from the FMIG bulletin board in the M2 hallways or from CookeR@health.missouri.edu. Or better yet, contact one of your class FMIG representatives!

aafp national conference,2008 Four days of hands-on learning opportunities, small group workshops, nationally recognized speakers, more than 400 exihibits, social events and community service projects, and the largest gathering of family medicine residency programs all for medical students and family medicine residents! This years conference is going to specififcally explore humanitarian efforts and health opportunities at home and abroad!
